About our Family

Amato of Denver is a small family business owned by Carlo Amato and his wife Rhonda.

Their sons, Anthony and Christopher, remain active in the business and have every intention of carrying on the family tradition for a fourth generation of supplying the Denver area with quality concrete garden decor, ranging from beautiful and tranquil water fountains to bird baths, planters, and statuary.

History

Amato of Denver was founded in 1922 by Carlo Amato, who just a few years earlier emigrated from Italy. Located at 2501 16th St. since 1947, Amato of Denver has been a North Denver neighborhood landmark for over half a century. Having helped his elderly grandfather his entire life, F. Carlo Amato (he was named after the founder) took over the company in 1976 and built the business to what it is today. In 1987, Amato of Denver won Westword’s Best Statuary award and has been supplying Denver’s garden décor needs ever since. So, keep your eyes open when driving around the Denver area and you’ll probably see some of our work!
